The day I discovered I wanted to be an actor?
My mother was raising three kids and we were dirt poor. I think it started on Saturday night when we had family TV time. We only had one TV, cable still hadnt gotten around to our neighborhood. SO channel surfing was limited to 4 channels.
But there we sat watching Eight is Enough and I looked at my mother and told her I want to do what little Adam Rich was doing. I proclaimed to God and our kingdom that one day I would do it.
I took my vision to our little third grade class at Edgewood and told all my friends and the one that werent absent that day took it too heart. I jokingly say God reach down with his finger and touch our little class. Because the magic hit a bunch of us.
If you take our 9th grade year book you'll see that on the same page and same row is Johnathon Schaech, Kim Surreth and I. Now I am not saying that I am anyones inspiration. But the magic was strong in our class. Richard Chizmar from our class is an accomplished writer works closely with John and they have created some great TV and films . Kim is an accomplished skater and has done more things. Thanks to her, her mother Nancy runs a very succcessful talent managerment company in Edgewood. Nancy happens to be my first agent.
After highschool I joined the Airforce and John went to
Hollywood
where he has hit homerun after homerun and has become a very
successfull A-list actor. Kudo's 
I elected to go the theater route. Once out of the Airforce I joined
back up with Nancy, blissfully unaware of John or Kims
success.
In fact up until two years ago I didnt remember the
Beautiful Kim, I
remembered the cute blonde skating around Starlight
Arena in Edgewood
(now turned into a strip mall) praying she would pick me for couples
skate. On more then one occasion she did pick me. I
bet she wouldnt
admit this ... anyways I remember it just
like that.
After 12 years of doing films
pumping about 3 to 4 out a year.
Some good, some destin for the back of
blockbuster. I was honored to
share the hallowed halls with John, Richard,and Kim.
There have been some great people to come out
of Edgewood. Believe
it or not Dale Midkiff went to Edgewood as well. His
step father was
like a very close uncle to me. Chris Sarandon also went to
Edgewood
for a year before going to Alexandria VA.
